The CN4800 series is a true Fuzzy Logic controller. The control action of the CN4800 series uses PID limit as its base. As a result, the CN4800 series makes sure that you have close to perfect control with no overshoot or variance from setpoint from that point on. The Fuzzy Logic decision making is exercised while detecting an overshoot or a disturbance, both creating a variance from setpoint. The CN4800 will learn your process. Thus, the time taken for returning to the set value can be shortened, and the variation width can be narrowed.
The CN4800 has standard features that set it in a class by itself; features previously available only on larger, more expensive controllers, such as: True Fuzzy Logic decision making capability, PID Autotune, Universal Input, Dual Display for SV, PV and MV (manual mode), easy-to-use menu format for data entry, offset adjustments, password protection, and is UL/CSA pending. As well, the CN4800 is readily available with the following features: Analog retransmission, RS-485 communications, Ramp/Soak 8 segment programming, programmable process alarms, loop break alarm, heater break alarm, cooling output, and auxiliary digital input for dual setpoint capability.
The CN4800 is available in 1/4, 1/8 or 1/16 DIN models. Input selection offers a choice from 10 different thermocouple types or RTD or a process voltage or current. Selection of temperature or process input is easily accomplished by changing a single jumper and programming input type.
